Der Commercial Court – Senat für Versicherungsrecht ist gemäß § 1 Abs. 2 Nr. 1 b) der Commercial-Court- und Commercial-Chambers-Verordnung nach Parteivereinbarung erstinstanzlich zuständig für Streitigkeiten mit einem Streitwert ab 500.000 Euro zwischen Unternehmern im Sinne des § 14 des Bürgerlichen Gesetzbuchs aus Versicherungsvertragsverhältnissen, insbesondere soweit sie Vermögensschadenhaftpflichtversicherungen (D&O-Versicherungen) zum Gegenstand haben.

The Commercial Court senate for insurance law has first instance jurisdiction on the basis of an agreement between the parties on the choice of forum pursuant to Section 1 (2) No. 1 b) of the Commercial Court and Commercial Chambers Ordinance for disputes with an amount in dispute of EUR 500,000 or more between entrepreneurs within the meaning of Section 14 of the German Civil Code arising from contractual insurance relationships, in particular insofar as they relate to pecuniary loss liability insurance (D&O insurance).
Substitute senate: Commercial Court senate for corporate law and post-M&A disputes.
